The first step

Check-up and scaling

Every treatment starts here: we assess the condition of your teeth, take an X-ray if needed, and remove tartar, the hard deposit that brushing at home can no longer shift.

At the end of the check-up you get a precise treatment plan and quote: what is worth treating, in what order, and what it costs. There are no surprise costs with us.

Regular scaling once or twice a year is the best prevention of gum inflammation and periodontal disease, and you can feel it in fresher breath too.

Saving the tooth

Tooth-coloured fillings

We remove the decayed part and rebuild the tooth with a tooth-coloured composite filling, so the repair does not show, only the healthy tooth. The shade is matched to your own teeth.

We use the same material for smaller decay affecting one or two surfaces and for larger fillings covering several surfaces; that is why the price list has two items.

For children we also fill milk teeth: a milk tooth does not simply "fall out anyway", it holds the place for the permanent tooth, so it is worth saving.

Rescuing the tooth

Root canal treatment

If decay has reached the nerve inside the tooth, the tooth is not lost yet: in most cases root canal treatment can save it. We clean and shape the root canals, disinfect them and seal them tightly.

Depending on the number of canals, treatment takes one or more visits; at the check-up we tell you exactly what to expect. We also re-treat roots that were poorly filled in the past.

A root-treated tooth can later be reinforced with a post and a crown; see crowns and bridges.

When it cannot be saved

Tooth extraction

When a tooth can no longer be saved, the best decision is a gentle extraction, before it causes inflammation, pain or damage to the neighbouring teeth.

The extraction is done under local anaesthesia, pain-free. Afterwards you get detailed advice on healing, and we discuss the options for replacing the tooth, because a gap is not worth leaving empty in the long run.

We also handle more complex cases locally, such as broken teeth, teeth decayed to the root, and root removals.

Replacing teeth

Removable dentures

For larger gaps a removable denture is a reliable, well-planned solution. We make acrylic and metal-framed dentures, and we also look after existing ones: relining, fracture repair, replacing teeth and clasps.

Over the age of 62, acrylic and metal-framed dentures can be made with NEAK subsidy at a reduced price; we discuss the details in the surgery.

Making a denture takes several visits (impression, try-in, fitting). You can book the first appointment online; the rest we schedule in the surgery.

BPS dentures

BPS (Biofunctional Prosthetic System) is a Swiss-developed method for making full and partial removable dentures. The difference does not start with the material but with the impression: it is taken in function, while you speak, swallow and move your lips and facial muscles.

A conventional denture is built on a model of a single, motionless moment. But the mouth moves constantly while eating and speaking, which is why a denture can slip or rock. The BPS method captures that movement too, so the finished denture fits the way your mouth really works and stays in place more securely.

The teeth and the base are made from matched, wear-resistant premium materials, and the shape and shade of the teeth are chosen to suit your face and age, so that what shows is your smile, not the denture.

Who is it for? For anyone getting their first denture who wants a good solution from the start, and for anyone who has struggled for years with a loose, uncomfortable denture, avoids harder foods or eating in company.

How does it work? Check-up and treatment plan, functional impression, try-in, then fitting and adjustment of the finished denture, spread over several visits. You can book the first appointment online; the rest we schedule in the surgery.

Replacing teeth

Fixed restorations: crowns, bridges, implant-supported work

A fixed restoration is built on the tooth or on an implant and does not need to be taken out: porcelain and zirconia-ceramic crowns, bridges, post-and-core build-ups, and implant-supported crowns, abutments and dentures.

These require individual planning, so a check-up and scaling always come first. After that we prepare a precise plan and quote, and arrange the appointments by phone.

As a temporary solution we make provisional crowns, and we can re-cement a loose crown or bridge unit.
